How to Fix a Broken Windshield
One of the most exposed parts of your car is the windshield. Since it is just a pane of glass, any small rock kicked up by another vehicle can cause chips or cracks. For larger cracks, you may need to call in a windshield expert for repair, but you should be able to repair smaller cracks on your own.
Instructions

1
Clean the area around the chip with the glass cleaner and cloth. If the window is dirty, the resin used to repair the windshield will not bond properly
-
2
Place the rag underneath the chip so the resin does not get to the car paint.
-
-
3
The kit should come with an adhesive disc. Pull off the backing and press the disc to the window with the center of the disc over the chip. Pull the tabs on the top of the disc into an upward position.
-
4
The kit should also have a pedestal that the resin will flow into. Peel off the backing on the other side of the disc and place the pedestal on the disc so the pedestal lines up with the hole.
-
5
Finally, take the syringe of resin in the kit and uncap it. Place the nozzle in the pedestal. Pull the plunger up to remove air from the chip and press it down to force the resin into the chip. Repeat this 10 times so the chip is completely filled.

Once you have filled the crack, leave the apparatus on the chip for 30 minutes and let the sun dry the resin. After the resin is dry, remove the apparatus.

Tips & Warnings
Make sure to continually pull the plunger up and down to get air out of the chip. If there is any air, the resin will not seal
Be careful with this process. If you push too hard, you may widen the crack, necessitating a window replacement
