Instructions

    • 1

Shampoo and condition hair, then blow-dry as straight as possible. Take a two-inch section of hair in the front of your hairline and smooth it upward toward the right side of your head. Pin it with bobby pins.

    • 2

Gather another two-inch section of hair above your right ear, separating it into three smaller bunches. Create a braid by twisting the three sections over each other, crisscrossing until you come to about one inch from the bottom of your hair. (To start, take the right side of the bunch, loop it over the middle part and around the left side, then repeat with the left side.) Place an elastic band on the end of the braid.

    • 3

Take another two-inch section of hair close to the first braid and repeat the process to make another braid. Do this twice, so you have a total of three braids. After you have secured each braid with an elastic band, take the end of each braid and loop it up toward the nape of your neck, securing with bobby pins. Spray your hair with hairspray or a shine serum.
