How to Make Outdoor Halloween Decor

Create a spooky or fun outdoor theme for Halloween. Pick a theme for your lawn or compile several ideas into one. When choosing your theme decide whether you want it to be scary or fun. Have a clear pathway for trick-or-treaters or anyone else going to your house. Use luminaries to light up the path on Halloween. To further the Halloween look, put in a colored porch light bulb. Add colored bulbs to rooms facing the outside and turn on at night.

Cut an arched tombstone shape out of thick cardboard.

      Paint it gray.

Tips & Warnings

  • To avoid decorations being stolen, only put expensive pieces out when you are home. Do not put fake cobwebs in trees. Animals get tangled inside of them.
