The Vesper
The Vesper

Made famous by Ian Fleming's novel and movie Casino Royal, the drink was invented by James Bond, it is a twist on the classic gin martini and is the equivalent to about four shots.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Gordon's Gin
  • Good Vodka (Skyy or better)
  • Bitters
  • Lillet Blanc
  • Lemon
  1. Step 1

    The cost of all of the ingredients will come to about $40 dollars depending on the amount you want, with this amount you can make about 10 drinks. When preparing the Vesper, ideally you may want to prepare a chilled martini glass although solo cups work fine as well.

  2. Step 2

    Add three shots Gordon's Gin.

  3. Step 3

    One shot Vodka, if you don't like gin consider switching the portions of Vodka and Gin.

  4. Step 4

    Add one part Lillet Blanc desert wine.

  5. Step 5

    A dash of bitters

  6. Step 6

    A lemon peel for garnish

  7. Step 7

    If you'd like to add some extra bite, add some lemon juice either from the lemon or the of the bottled variety.

  8. Step 8

    Server chilled with thinly cut lemon garnish
