Retiring before 40 requires alot of sacrifices and dedication to succeed. It is certainly not for everyone however for the brave few it can happen. There are many things you can do to achieve this goal and the books I include I have read for myself so I can tell you there good from experience. The first thing that ALL early retirees had in common was reducing their monthly expenses to the bone and extremely so. Things like renting rooms in their homes, living in R.V.s, taking cheap apartments, living with their parents, etc. With cars most have either bought cheap used ones or not had cars and walked, car shared, biked, took the bus, train. They all lived without common luxuries like new cell phones, netflix subscriptions, etc.

Income suprisingly in most of the early retirees were relatively low. Some as low as $20,000, some even lower per year. But in each case they looked to increase their income through multiple revenue streams. Most published books about their expeierences and some are quite entertaining I must say. All early retirees made it their number one goal to retire early and All had an extremely positive attitude and confidence they would succeed. My favorite example is Ernie Zelinski whom was riding a broken down bike to work and sharing an apartment with some obnoxious roomates. His books are very inspiring I must say, if you have any doubts about your retiring early I would say reading his books will bring you the confidence you need and the results.
