Things You'll Need:
- Paraffin
- essential oil or aromatherapy oil of your choice.
- Empty can
- about a 24 inch of candle wick
- Sauce pan
-
Step 1
Fill the saucepan with about 2" water and heat it over low heat on the stove.
-
Step 2
Melted ParaffinPut the paraffin block into the can and place the can into the water. The paraffin will met slowly. Add more if you intend to make more than one candle or a larger candle.
-
Step 3
Add the essential oil or aromatherapy oil. About 30 drops should be good. Add more if you want a stronger scent.
-
Step 4
When the wax is melted, lower the wick into the liquid wax. Slowly lift it out and hold it until the wax cools and gets solid. Repeat this until the candle is the size you want.
-
Step 5
Hanging dipped candles at homeHang the candle by the extra wick to set up completely. Trim wick when cooled.
-
Step 6
You have just made an easy dipped candle at home. That was easy!
