Things You'll Need:
- Mexican Petunia Seed Seedling Potting Soil Shallow Pot Bottle Water Plastic Wrap Toothpick

Step 1
Fill a shallow pot half-full with premixed seedling potting soil that you can buy from your local gardening store to start your Mexican petunia seed off.

Place a small indention in the middle of the soil with your thumb to place your Mexican petunia seed.

Step 3
Fill a clean spray bottle with warm tap water. Spray the soil until very moist.

Step 4
Place the Mexican Petunia seed onto the soil. Do not cover the Mexican petunia seed with soil. Cover the top of the pot with a piece of plastic wrap. Poke three small holes in the center of the plastic wrap with a toothpick.

Step 5
Place the Mexican Petunia seed pot in a bright location, but not in direct sun. Allow the pot to stand until the seed germinates. This should take about 3 days for your Mexican petunia seed to germinate.

Step 6
Mist the soil and recover the pot with the Mexican petunia seed.

Step 7
Place the pot with the Mexican petunia seed in bright sun. Mist the soil daily and recover until the Mexican petunia seed seedling is several inches tall.

Step 8
Remove the plastic wrap off of the Mexican petunia seed seedling. Leave in a sunny window. Transplant the Mexican petunia when larger.
