Step 1
The first thing to do is to get a free email address from Google, Yahoo, Hotmail, or someone like that. One of the main reason these companies offer contests is to get your email address!
So, get another email address and use it for all of your sweepstakes and contest entries. This will help keep the spam out of your personal mailbox. -
Step 2
Do a search on Google or Yahoo for “free online sweepstakes” will yield enough websites to keep you busy until the cows come home.
-
Step 3
Now that you have tens of thousands of links, it would be a good idea to keep in mind that many of the results are scams or require you to pay a membership fee to see their list of contests and sweepstakes. The first several pages are the golden zone, as results begin to get irrelevant or questionable at that point.

Step 4
One of the easiest and least risky thing to do is to stick to the websites that offer free lists. They generally have no requirement to register.
These lists are often supported and built by the members of the website. In that case it is usually okay to register if you want to contribute, but it should not be a requirement to see the list. -
Step 5
Once you find a few trustworthy lists of contests, enter as many as you can, as often as you can. Just fill in your information, click submit, and wait. If you do this enough times, the odds are that you will win something.

Step 6
It requires a bit of work and persistence to start winning. But once you start winning it won't seem like work.
