Wash some potatoes and chop them into pieces using a clean knife. Ensure that you include the skin. You will eventually turn this into a paste that you will apply on affected areas. Potatoes contain catecholase, which helps to lighten skin.

Put your chopped potatoes in a blender to puree. Blend them until they are pasty. Transfer the paste into a clean bowl.

Wash the affected area of your skin with antimicrobial soap and water for one minute. After washing, apply the paste using your hand or a clean utensil.

Massage the potato paste gently across the skin in a circular motion. Do this for about five minutes and leave on your skin for 30 minutes.

Rinse off the potato paste with lukewarm water. Gently pat dry with a hand towel until the area is free of potato paste.
