  1. How to Get Your PIN Number for a Visa Credit Card

    • 1

Locate the 1-800 number on the back of your VISA credit card. Call this 1-800 number and listen for the option to be connected to an agent about your PIN.

    • 2

Confirm various personal information with the agent to whom you are connected. This may include your address, birthday, last payment amount, and the last four digits of your social security number. You may have set up a phone password and you may be asked for this information as well.

    • 3

Tell the agent that you would like to reset your PIN or retrieve your old PIN associated with your card. The agent may require that the new PIN number be sent by mail to assure that the PIN is sent to the actual owner of the card. This option may take four to seven business days to complete.

    • 4

Wait for your new PIN or reset PIN confirmation letter to be sent through the mail.

Tips & Warnings

  • Never give out your personal information or credit card information over the phone. Anytime a creditor asks for your social security number, you should only be required to give the last four digits of your number for identity verification purposes.
