How to Use Egg Yolk to Treat Acne
Most people have a preference for how they like their eggs, but very few have any idea about eggs' healing properties for the skin. Egg yolk is a very protein-rich food that is also high in vitamin A, a vital nutrient in helping to heal wounds that is widely used in prescription acne medications. Although no one is sure how or why the first person decided to try an egg yolk mask to help heal acne, the consensus is that it works. Things You'll Need
- Two eggs
- Cup
- Fork
- Egg separator (optional)
- Washcloth
- Gentle face cleanser
- Towel

Crack and separate both eggs over the sink. If you don't have a a separating utensil, you can transfer the yolk between both halves of the egg until the egg white falls into the sink and the yolk remains.

Put both yolks in the cup and whisk with your fork until fluffy.

Wash your hands well with antibacterial soap to prevent introduction of more bacteria to your face. Use your fingers to spread the yolk over your entire face.

Let this mask dry for 15 minutes. You will feel the yolk tightening and cracking---you want this to happen.

Use the washcloth and warm water to remove the yolk. Be patient as this may take a few minutes.

Wash your face with a gentle face cleanser. Rinse and dry. Repeat daily for one month, then as needed if breakouts reoccur.
