How to Remove Wax From a Glass
Wax is one of the most challenging clean-up problems, particularly if it's melted onto tablecloths or carpets. However, wax that drips down the sides of glass candle holders or melts into a big clump in the bottom of a votive glass is easy to remove. Does this Spark an idea?
Instructions

1
Place the glass encrusted with wax into the freezer for 2 to 3 hours. This serves to harden the wax.
-
2
Remove the glass from the freezer, and gently scrape the wax from the glass with the butter knife. Do not use a sharp knife because the scraping may dull the knife blade, making it easy to slip and cut you. Use the butter knife to remove all the big pieces of wax, and you will be left with a glass that has a waxy film on it.

3
Wash the glass in hot soapy water until the waxy film is gone.

Tips & Warnings
To prevent wax from getting stuck in the bottom of a glass, place a drip of dish soap or cooking oil in the bottom before you put in the candle. This will help the wax pop right out when it's melted. One method to remove wax from glass involves pouring boiling water into and over the glass to melt the wax. If you choose this approach, it is best to do it outside. If you do it inside over the sink, the melted wax will go down the drain, cool off, harden and potentially clog your pipes.
