How to Fold Hand Towels for Hotels

One of the best perks about staying in a hotel is having fresh, neatly folded towels. Hand towels are the medium sized towels, which are smaller than a bath towel used to dry off from a shower but larger than wash cloths. If you fold your towel right when it is done in the dryer, your towels will have fewer wrinkles and lay flatter. With simple folding techniques, you can have a bathroom that looks as neat as a hotel.

Instructions

1. Tug on the ends of the towel to remove all wrinkles, so the towel stays flat when you fold it. This is particularly important if your hand towel has a design on the ends.

2. Lay your hand towel horizontally on a flat surface with the tag side facing up.

3. Locate the middle of the towel, and fold both the bottom and top halves to the middle. Leave a one inch gap between the two folds. Remember the towel is horizontal, so you are folding the long sides towards the middle.

4. Fold the towel in half from right to left. The edges of the towel should match up almost exactly.

5. Hang the towel over a towel rack, but make sure the tag on the towel is in the back so it is not visibly seen by guests.
