How to Make an iTunes Playlist

Making iTunes playlists is a great way to organize your music into the categories of your choice. You can make as many iTunes playlists as you desire, and you can label your playlists by artist or music style. iTunes will automatically arrange your playlists in alphabetical order for quick access. Creating an iTunes playlist is an easy process.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Computer with iTunes installed

1. Open iTunes by clicking on the icon. This will take you to your main music library.

2. Click on "File" then "New Playlist." A new playlist will appear on the left side of your screen. It will be titled "untitled playlist."

3. Click once on the playlist to highlight the text. Type in the name you would like for the playlist and click "Return."

4. Click on "Music" at the top left of the screen. This will bring up all the songs in your iTunes library.

5. Click and drag songs from your library to your new playlist. Holding down the "Command" key will allow you to select and drag multiple songs at one time.

6. Click on the playlist title to open it.

7. Arrange the songs by clicking on each title and dragging it to the desired location. Alternatively, you can click on the "Shuffle" icon at the bottom left corner of the screen. This will randomly arrange the songs in your playlist.

Tips & Warnings

• To delete a song from a playlist, click on the song title and click the "Delete" key. To delete an entire playlist, click on the playlist title and click the "Delete" key.
