Things You'll Need:
- Soft tape measure
-
Step 1
Full lace wig circumference measurementMeasure all the way around your head. This is the circumference for your lace front wig. The edge of the tape measure will follow your hair line around your head and the nape of the neck. Record the exact measurement.
-
Step 2
Full lace wig front hairline measurementPlace the tape measure at the base of your sideburn in front of one ear and measure across your front hair line to the same point at the base of your sideburn in front of the opposite ear. This is the front hair line measurement for your lace front wig. Record the exact measurement.
-
Step 3
Full lace wig over top of the head measurementPlace the tape measure directly above the top of your ear at the hair line and measure to the hair line directly above the top of your other ear. This is the front lace wig measurement for over the top of the head. Record the exact measurement.
-
Step 4
Full lace wig nape of neck measurementPlace the tape measure at the left side of the hair line at the nape of your neck and measure across to the right side of the nape of your neck. This is the nape of neck measurement for your lace front wig. Record the exact measurement.
-
Step 5
Full lace wig forehead to nape measurementPlace the tape measure at the center of your hair line in the front of your forehead and measure straight back over the crown of your head to the hairline at the back of the nape of your neck. This is the forehead to nape measurement for your lace front wig. Most stores require you to add 1 inch to your measurement results in order for you to glue the cap of the lace front wig to the outside perimeter of your natural hairline on your skin in front of your hairline.
-
Step 6
Full lace wig point to point measurementPlace the tape measure at your temple and measure around the crown of your head to the temple point on the other side of your head. This is the point to point measurement for your lace front wig. The cap of the lace front wig is glued to the outside perimeter of your natural hairline in this area just as in step 5. You may need to add 1 inch to the measurement results or your lace front wig will be too small and will not be able to be glued in front of your hairline.
