How to Remove Candle Wax Stain From the Carpet
Candles can create a romantic mood or just simply add some ambiance to your living space. But with just the wrong move or a sudden draft, some of the candle wax can drip on your carpet, creating what seems like a mess that's impossible to clean. That's not the case, though. Things You'll Need
- Dull butter knife
- Hair dryer
- Paper towels
- Clothes iron
- Carpet stain remover

Clean the candle wax immediately. Candle wax is like other stains -- the faster you can deal with it, the easier and better it can be removed. First, try to scrape off as much wax as possible with a dull butter knife.

Heat the candle wax with a hair dryer. Do this gradually while you are dabbing up the melting wax with a paper towel. Never rub or scrape the candle wax; rubbing will spread it farther and press it deeper into the carpet.

Place three layers of paper towels on the wax, and run your clothes iron over it on low to medium-low heat. The paper towels will pick up the wax. Change the paper towels as they become sticky and dirty.

Purchase a good carpet cleaner and follow instructions on the package to remove any remaining stain.

Tips & Warnings
You can also use a flattened brown paper bag instead of the paper towels when using the iron.
