Christmas is a time of giving. Stuffing stockings and watching your family unveil all the goodies is a bonus to the holiday. These bonus goodies do not have to be expensive. It is the thought that counts. There are many ways to stuff stockings inexpensively or better FREE.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Christmas stockings
  • Store Flyers
  • Kids Meals Toys
  • Unused Gifts

BOGO(Buy One Get One Free)- Collect store flyers from your local shopping stores. There are currently a lot of BOGO deals primarily because of our current economy. Mark off the items that you would normally buy for yourself. The item that you get free can become a great stocking stuffer for your Christmas stocking.

  2. Step 2

If you have children and you find BOGO toy deals it is a great way to have a gift under the Christmas tree for a nephew, niece, or godchild for free.

Kids Meals Toys- I didn't think about how often I bought Kids Meals until the toys started to pile up. Over the year I have collected so many of these toys that I have a shopping bag full. You can stuff small stockings for your child's class at Christmas as well as your child's Christmas stocking. The free toys become free gifts from Santa.

Unused Gifts-Many of us receive gifts that we never use for Christmas and Birthdays. It isn't that it wasn't a nice gift just not something you normally use. These items can be re-gifted. It is not taboo. This encourages us not to be wasteful and it is an inexpensive way to give gifts.

  5. Step 5

Dollar Store, Walmart, Target- This won't be free but very inexpensive. There are a lot of items sold that are perfect for stocking stuffing. Front of store bins have items that are $.50 to $1.00. Some items include 5 or 6 items for $1.00 especially for children.

This also applies to birthday gifts and gift baskets. Same steps apply.

Tips & Warnings
  • Re-gifting is not a bad thing! It is recycling at its best.
  • Your child will forget about that free toy within a couple hours. Store it away at that point.
  • Make sure re-gifts are truly unused.
