How to Make a Birdhouse From Flower Seed Packets
Although a birdhouse made from flower seed packets will not house a real feathered friend, the finished result will be so attractive that you will feel compelled to find a prominent location from which to hang this birdhouse. Using six flower seed packets and some clear tape, you will be able to finish a birdhouse that is nice enough for a tiny little decorative bird to take up residence.
Things You'll Need
- Six flower seed packets
- Plastic food-storage bags
- Clear tape

Fold two more seed packets in half lengthwise. Fit one of these seed packets onto the bottom of the birdhouse as the front of the birdhouse. Tape a short edge of this seed packet along the bottom front edge of the birdhouse. Repeat with the other seed packet to make the back of the birdhouse. The folded portions of these seed packets will meet in the center as roof peaks. Tape the top of the roof peak together.

Draw a 1-inch diameter circle in the front center of the birdhouse. Find the center of the circle and divide the circle into sixths. Draw lines to divide the circle like a pie. Cut along each line in the center of the circle but do not cut the outer circle. Bend each flap in toward the inside of the birdhouse and glue the flaps in place. This will create a finished edge of the circle.
