Learn the basic information using online resources. The Internet provides educational resources to help you learn about almost any job, including skilled trades. Look for resources that offer a glossary of terms or diagrams to help you learn. Show up for hands-on training. Before you receive your degree that allows you to work in a skilled trade, eventually you must get your hands on the action. Apply all of the "book knowledge" you've obtained during your online studies to your hands-on training for the best result.
