1
Find pirate clothes by looking through your own closet and checking out second-hand shops. A girl pirate costume can have a skirt or capri pants for the bottoms. If you wear capris, make sure they're black. If you go with a skirt, choose a bohemian or peasant style. Wear a white ruffle blouse for the top---but make it look old by soaking it in tea bags.

2
Complete your homemade pirate costume by wearing old black boots and a wide width leather belt. Then, tie a bandanna around your head and use scarves and more bandannas to adorn your outfit. Wear gaudy costume jewelry, like long bold necklaces or big bauble rings. And don't forget the eye patch. If you don't have one, you can find one at a costume shop or make your own.

Now you're ready for your props. Design weapons by cutting the shapes of a sword and dagger out of cardboard. Wrap the cardboard in tin foil. Secure any loose ends with glue. You can tuck your weapons in your belt and boot tops.
