How to Install a Hewlett Packard Officejet Printer
Once you've purchased your HP printer, installing it involves connecting it to the computer and installing print drivers. Installing the Officejet printer takes only a few minutes, and it comes with the cables necessary for installation. The Officejet printer supports older and newer Windows operating systems, so you do not need to worry about compatibility.

Attach the printer cable that came with the printer to your computer. Ensure the printer is turned on after you attach it to your computer.

Insert the installation disc that came with the HP Officejet printer. The software automatically starts when the CD is inserted into your computer's CD-ROM drive. HP provides an installation wizard that helps guide you through the printer driver install process.

Choose the "Typical" installation option and click the "Next' button. Select the "I accept" option for the printer driver license agreement and click the "Next" button.

Click the "Browse" button to select the location where you want the drivers to install. The default location for the installation files is "C:\Program Files\HP." Once the location has been selected, click "Next."

Wait a few seconds while the installation program loads the files and detects the printer. Once it gives you a confirmation of detection, click the "Next" button. Wait a few minutes while the final files install and click the "Finish" button. The HP printer is installed, along with the associated driver files.
