You don't need to be a web designer with the latest expensive software for coding. In fact, you can create a web page using Microsoft Word. Microsoft Word allows you to export the layout and text created in a document to an HTML page. The HTML page can then be uploaded to your host server and used for a personal web page or blog them. This is a quick way to create web pages from Word documents.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Open the Word application, and click the "File" menu in the main toolbar. Click the "New" option. A list of templates is shown. Choose "Web page" and press the "OK" button.

  2. Step 2

Enter text into the workspace just like you were creating a regular Word document. You can also use Word to create tables and insert pictures. This is all saved and converted to the web page.

  3. Step 3

Click the "File" menu in the main toolbar again, and select "Save As." This allows you to convert the web page Word template into an HTML file, which is used by web browsers to display Internet pages. In the "File format" selection, choose "HTML document" from the drop-down bar. Click the "Save" button to convert and save the web page.

  4. Step 4

Double-click the "My Computer" icon on the desktop. Navigate to the location of where you saved the Word HTML document. Double-click the file and your default web browser will open. This allows you to see the new web page created by Word and test the layout.
