It seems like almost everyone is trying to lose weight. We hear about diet after diet, most of which end up back at their heavy weight. Deciding to lose weight is a choice that needs to be made by the person. It will take hard work and dedication, but in the long run will be far worth it! Here easy basic ways to lose a good amount of excess weight.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Effort and determination
  1. Step 1

Cut out all the junk food in your diet. Remember, the purpose of eating is to nourish our bodies, not to destroy it with fatty fast foods, and sugary foods. Use fats sparingly such as margarine, butter, and mayonnaise. Allow for three small meals a day, along with two healthy snacks in between meals.

  2. Step 2

Know what you are drinking. Soda is a huge no. You should be drinking at least 8 servings of water a day. Try switching to skim milk, and limit juice to one serving a day, because of the sugar content.

  3. Step 3

Get your body moving with exercise each and every day. This is how you will burn your calories. The amount of effort you put into your workout will determine how much weight you will lose. If you notice, people who are generally thin, tend to be on the go a lot. Go for a power walk every day for at least 20 minutes. Incorporate exercise into your daily routine as we. For instance, you can do squats while brushing your teeth, or sit-ups during commercials. Stick with it, and you will see that in time you will be shedding pounds.
