How to Make Playdough That is Edible

Peanut butter doesn't have to be just for sandwiches.

Play-Doh is a popular modeling clay made by Hasbro. While it's fun to play with, it does lack one thing a generic playdough can offer: edibility. Make your own at home with the help of your little ones, then let them play or eat -- their choice.

Things You'll Need

  • Equal parts:
  • Dry milk powder (can use nonfat)
  • Peanut butter (creamy or smooth)
  • Honey

Instructions

    • 1

Have the kids mix all of the ingredients together in a large bowl until thoroughly combined.

    • 2

Add more dry milk powder if needed until the desired consistency is reached. It might help to buy some real Play-Doh so that you can match the consistency.

    • 3

Use powered sugar instead of dry milk powder, if you prefer. Use 2 cups of powered sugar for every cup of dry milk powder. The kids might like the taste of powdered sugar more than the milk powder.

    • 4

Give the kids plenty of cookie cutters, clean playdough toys and let them go to town.
