Have the salesperson explain the quality of diamonds which are graded by letters. Tell them what style you like. In addition tell them what amount of money you want to spend. Tell the salesperson you would like to look into the diamond. They will supply you with a small hand-held glass device that actually looks into the diamond. You must look for flaws such as discoloration and tiny specks. If the salesperson is a decent person they will explain the differences to you.

Make sure that the diamond will be mounted on the ring properly so that the diamond does not get lost. In addition you can always get the ring insured. Making sure that you have the proper sized ring will ensure a very happy bride to be. Tie a string around her ring finger and tell her that this is her wedding band. She may get a laugh out of it and you will have the correct size to her ring. Take the string to the jewelry store with you. Buy her an inexpensive ring that cost a few dollars. Take her with you to ensure proper fitting.
