Things You'll Need:
- Leopard OSX installation disc

Step 1
Backup the Macintosh that is going to be upgraded with the Leopard OSX operating system, just in case there is a glitch in the installation that causes data to be deleted.

Eject the disc tray from the external DVD drive that is connected to the Macintosh desktop or laptop computer. Place the Leopard installation disc into the disc tray and close the disc tray.

Step 3
Select the Leopard installation disc icon when it appears on the desktop by double-clicking on it. From the window that appears, double-click on the installation icon to run the installation program.

Click the "Restart" button that appears to restart the computer and begin the installation process.
An alternate is to reboot the computer with the Leopard OSX installation disc in place and hold down the "C" key on the keyboard until the beginning screen for Leopard appears. -
Step 5
Select the language to use for Leopard when the computer has rebooted and displays the Language screen. Click on "More Information" if desired; otherwise press "Continue" to go to the next screen.

Step 6
Select the hard drive that Leopard will be installed on. Press "Continue" to go to the next screen. Press the "Install" button at the next screen to begin the actual installation of files to create the Leopard OSX operating system on the hard drive.

Step 7
Fill out the Registration screen when it appears to signal that the installation has been completed. Press the "Restart" button to reboot the computer and start it up with the Leopard OSX operating system.
