Brainstorm ideas for your logo's design. Sketch out ideas in a sketchbook with colored pencils or markers, keeping in mind that you should relate the design to your event or organization. Generally speaking, logos should have two to three colors and not appear too busy. Think about logos you've seen on other clothing brands or logos that represent major companies. Many have one or two colors at most.

Use a graphics program like Photoshop to create your design. There are several programs you could use to create your logo's design but Photoshop is particularly useful for this type of project. Open a new document in the program on a transparent background and save it as a .gif or .png file. Begin creating your logo, referencing your sketches as necessary. If you are using a program like Photoshop that allows you to work in layers, start creating your design on the first layer. Remember that you might want to save parts of your logo in separate layers. For example, if your logo will have text or if you want to apply different effects via filters or other tools to different parts of your logo's design.
