How to Load New Textures Into Poser
Poser is a 3D rendering program that can produce both still images and animation. It has preloaded figures that can be posed for the renders. Users can also install new figures for use. All of these figures have textures which supply the "skin" of the figure, which means that the textures determine to a large extent what the figures look like. Users can also make new textures for these figures using various programs like Deep Paint or Photoshop. But once you have the texture, you have to load it into the program.

1
Save the new texture you have created in Photoshop. If this new texture was created using one of the old textures as a template, make sure to save it to a different folder with a different file name. To do this in Photoshop, select "File" and click "Save As." In the dialog that now opens, name the file (perhaps adding to the original file name "modified"). Save to the folder on your computer where you will keep all of your modified textures.

2
Open Poser. Delete the default figure that is in the scene (unless the texture happens to be for the default figure). Go to the Poser "Libraries" on the right and select the "Figures" library. Browse though the figures until you see the one you made the new texture for. Double-click on the figure to load it into the scene.

3
Click on the "Material" room tab at the top. When the room opens, make sure that it is set to "Advanced." At the top on the right is a drop-down menu where you can select the figure or object you want to work with. Click it and select the figure. Now select the "Materials" drop down menu beside this and select the particular body part that you want to apply the texture to. For example, if the texture you modified is only for the eyes, you would select one of the parts for the eye, such as the "Iris" or "Whites."

4
Go to the attributes list you see in the window below and click on the "Color" tab that has the texture applied to it. In the dialog that pops up, click on the "Browse" button and browse to the "modified" texture you made and click "Apply." The new texture is applied to the part you selected.
-
5
Repeat step 4 for each of the parts that need to have the texture applied to them. Save your completed figure as a Poser file so you don't have to do this again.
