How to Change Calendar Category Names in Outlook 2007

Microsoft Outlook 2007 is one of the most widely used and versatile business organization and email maintenance programs available. Its calendar contains advanced features that allow sophisticated users to customize the look and feel of the software interface.

Things You'll Need:

  • Microsoft Outlook 2007
  1. Step 1
    Blank calendar appointment
     
    Blank calendar appointment

    Open a new, blank appointment on the calendar.

  2. Step 2
    Categorize button
     
    Categorize button

    Click the "Categorize" button in the "Options" panel at the top of the appointment window.

  3. Step 3
    All Categories button
     
    All Categories button

    Click the "All Categories" button at the bottom of the category list that appears.

  4. Step 4
    Rename button
     
    Rename button

    Select one of the existing categories and click the "Rename" button on the right side of the window.

  5. Step 5

    Edit the name of the category. Click "OK" to finalize your category name change.
