    • 1

Purchase Turkish apple tea also known as Elma Cay. This combination of black tea leaves, spices and apple flavoring can be found at most tea retailers or tea houses. The kettles, or two pots, must be able to fit securely on top of the other.

    • 2

Brew the tea. Place the tea leaves in the small kettle with just enough water to wet the leaves. Place the small kettle over a larger kettle of water. The top kettle should fit over the larger like a lid. Turn up the heat for the water in the larger kettle and let it come to a boil.

    • 3

Leave the smaller kettle on top until the bottom kettle is at a full boil. Pour the boiling water into the tea.

    • 4

Add cold water to the bottom kettle and boil again. By that time the tea should be close to finished. You will probably know by the aroma and flavor. Basically it steeps twice.
