The Windows operating system allows you to move your main desktop toolbar to any of the four sides of your computer monitor. By default, this toolbar will be placed at the bottom of your screen. You can place the toolbar at the top of the screen by first making sure the toolbar isn't locked and then physically moving it to the location of your choice using your computer's mouse.

Step 1

Right click the toolbar in its current location on your Windows desktop. Make sure that the phrase "Lock the taskbar" is not checked. If it is checked, click it one time. This removes the check.
