For many out there, this flu season seems more dangerous than others because of the H1N1 strain. Take these precautions as a way to help you avoid getting sick this year.

  1. Step 1

    Vaccinate. Your best bet to stay healthy will always to get vaccinated. Many doctors offices, businesses as well as local pharmacies are offering the a-typical flu shot this season for a small cost. It is reported that H1N1 flu vaccine will be out soon.

  2. Step 2

    Wash Hands. It is important that you stay clean, especially your hands. You often touch your eyes and mouth with your hands, which could lead to flu infection. Make sure to wash hands regularly and carry an antibacterial hand sanitizer with you should you feel it appropriate.

  3. Step 3

    Avoid Close contact with others. You should try to stay a safe distance from those who experience flu-like symptoms. This will reduce the likeliness of being infected.

  4. Step 4

    Rest and Exercise. The healthier you are, the easier it is for your body to fight off infection. Make sure you sleep 8 hours a day, and make sure to exercise regularly. Consult a physician before you exercise.
