Things You'll Need:
- The fiction book you want to review.
- A word processing program.
-
Step 1
Read the book you want to review. While reading take note of the main characters, setting, basic plot, and other things you like or don't like. You can write them down if necessary.
-
Step 2
The first paragraph will introduce the book. You can include the items about the author, whether it is part of a series, and the basic plot line (without giving away the ending).
-
Step 3
The next paragraph introduces the main characters and setting. Were the characters believable? What are some important attributes of the characters? If the setting is important to the story, introduce it here too.
-
Step 4
The next paragraph should be your impression of the book. What did you like What didn't you like? Would you recommend the book to others? Are there any final thoughts about the book?
-
Step 5
If you want to add one more paragraph, you can tell readers where to find more information, such as the author's website or blog. You can also tell readers where to buy the book. Since this isn't important to the book review, it can easily be skipped.
