How to Buy Stuff With the iTunes Prepaid Card

Prepaid iTunes cards can be used to buy music, videos and games for your iPod.

ITunes is a program that plays music and video files on your computer or other compatible devices. It also can be used to manage the files stored on an iPod or other Apple devices. The iTunes program features an online store that can be used to purchase songs, albums, games, applications, TV show episodes and movies. You can make purchases from the iTunes Store with a prepaid iTunes card.

Instructions

1. Open the iTunes program on your computer by locating the program file in your "Start" menu in Windows operating systems or by clicking on the iTunes icon in the applications toolbar in Mac operating systems. (If you do not already have iTunes installed on your computer, you will need to download and install it.) Click on the "iTunes Store" link on the left side of the program window.

2. Sign in to your iTunes Store account by clicking on the "Sign in" link in the upper right corner of the iTunes Store window. Enter your iTunes Store user name and password to log in. If you do not already have an account, follow the online instructions to create one.

3. Click the "Redeem" link on the right side of the iTunes Store window.

4. Scratch away the silver bar on the back of your iTunes prepaid card to reveal a 16-digit code. Enter this code into the corresponding field in the iTunes Store window. Click the "Redeem" button to add the card's funds to your account. The credits will appear next to your iTunes account name at the upper right corner of the screen.

5. Browse through the iTunes Store to find songs, videos or applications you wish to purchase. To use your available credits, click the "Buy" button next to the item you want to purchase. The item will automatically be purchased with the credits on your account from your prepaid iTunes card.
