Many women wish they had bigger eyes. Now you can learn how to apply shadow to make your eyes look bigger. There are several eye shadow techniques that will enhance and enlarge eyes. Your eye shadow application can make a lot of difference in the appearance of your eyes.

Keep in mind as you apply eye shadow that dark colors recede and light colors protrude. If you want your eyes to look bigger, you need to use light colors and minimize the dark colors around your eyes.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • eye shadow
  • eyeliner
  • makeup brushes
  1. Step 1

Apply a light-colored, neutral eye shadow, such as taupe, vanilla or bone, in the crease of your eyelid right above the iris. If you want to add a color, apply the neutral color first and then apply a color on top of that.

  2. Step 2

Apply eyeliner, following the shape of your eyes. Make a very fine line right at the base of the eyelashes, on both bottom and top lids. Bring the eyeliner all the way to the edges of the eyes, but do not let the two lines meet.

  3. Step 3

Apply a small dot with a light-colored, neutral eye pencil, vanilla, white or ivory, to the outer corner of the eye, between the top and bottom eyeliner lines. This will widen and extend the eyes, making them look huge.

  4. Step 4

Curl your eyelashes with an eyelash curler. For more information on this step, see the article which is linked below.

  5. Step 5

Apply mascara. There is more information on mascara in the article which is linked below.

Tips & Warnings
  • Never line the inner eyelid. This will have the effect of making the eyes appear smaller.
