Make a Sexy Women's Pirate Halloween Costume

A sexy women's pirate Halloween costume is cheap and easy to make. You can get the materials you need at your local costume and thrift stores. There are even some pirate Halloween costume accessories you can make yourself. The sexy pirate Halloween costume can also be adapted to use clothing you already have in your closet. If you put a little extra time, money and effort into your sexy pirate costume, you could even win a costume contest at your next Halloween party.

Instructions

Step 1

Get a fancy, ruffled white linen or satin blouse with a low cut neckline and long sleeves. Then get a miniskirt and fray the edges of the bottom hem. Wear some lacy petticoats underneath the skirt. Alternatively, you could also get some tight pants or leggings for your sexy women's pirate Halloween costume. Also get a large belt with a big brassy buckle or find a sash for your waist.
Step 2

Find a cheap corset with laces. Get a pirate's hat from your Halloween costume store. Make a pirate's skull and bones emblem from white felt and hot glue it to the front of the hat. For an added touch, attach a large feather or red bows to the hat. While you're there, also pick up a cheap plastic pirate's sword and holster. You can also make your own pirate's sword out of a chipboard cardboard box and some silver paint. Paint the handle brown with acrylic craft paint and finish the whole pirate's sword with polyurethane varnish.
Step 3

Get a sash to wear around your head. This can be any color, but red looks particularly good for a sexy women's pirate Halloween costume. Then get some fishnet panty hose or stockings with garters.
Step 4

Dig through your jewelry box for gold-toned jewelry such as necklaces, big brassy earrings or strings of faux jewels and pearls. Wear your hair loose and curly. If you have short hair, get a long wig to wear with your sexy pirate Halloween costume. If the wig is synthetic, don't use a curling iron to curl it; instead, wrap it up with sponge curlers and let it rest the for about a day before Halloween. Wear subtle makeup in earth tones to make it seem as if you're not wearing any makeup.
Step 5

Get some high heeled shoes or tall black or brown high heeled boots. Laced boots that come up to mid-thigh are ideal for a sexy women's pirate Halloween costume. If you're wearing pants or leggings, tuck them into the boots rather than wearing them outside.
