Nursing a baby is wonderful but it can also be difficult.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • shawl
  • patients
  1. Step 1

My oldest sister bought shawls for all the girls in the family the Christmas I was pregnant with my youngest. I didn't think I would ever use mine, it was big (a little ugly too.) So I put it in a drawer to be forgotten.

  2. Step 2

As I started nursing I realized I needed a little privacy. Okay a lot of privacy. I was flying from Maryland to Washington State at the time and I knew people frowned upon watching a women nurse in public. But since I could not afford first class I had to do something.

  3. Step 3

    shawl

I grabbed the big shawl my sister gave me and wrapped it around my baby and me. With a few baby safety pins it actually worked out really well. (please see image) It is always a little uncomfortable at first but then it is like second nature....

Tips & Warnings
  • baby pins are the big safety pins you can find just about anywhere that sells baby things.
  • be careful of the pin
