Step 1
Find the wasp nest. Trying to kill wasp or ants one at a time, could be a never ending chore.
-
Step 2
Pour a cup of liquid bleach into a bottle with a spray attachment. Adjust the sprayer to stream, not spray. Verify the sprayer will spray a stream at least four feet.
-
Step 3
Bring a bottle of vinegar with you, before you approach the wasp nest. Vinegar serves as an instant pain reliever, in the event you get stung. (Vinegar will not take away pain from swelling caused by wasp poison, but it will disipate pain in the area the stinger has entered the body).
-
Step 4
For extra precaution, you can wear gloves and a long sleeve shirt, or even better, a jacket with strong sleeves such as leather. Eye glasses, a face mask, and a cap or hat, can also be worn to prevent stings.
-
Step 5
Spray the wasp continuously, once you start. Some wasp may be temporarily stunned, but fly at you a moment or two later. Spray until all wasp are well sedated. Spray the nest, last. Then you can remove the nest with a pipe or stick.
