Things You'll Need:
- Elastic hair band, brush, hair spray, finishing cream
-
Step 1
Using a brush, brush your hair straight down to get any tangles out. When your are finished brushing your hair, apply a finishing cream to the ends of your hair, so that when your ponytail is done, it will have a soft look to it.
-
Step 2
To add simple style to your ponytail, begin by creating a part towards the front to your hair. One way of being able to decide where to put your part would be by putting your finger where the middle of your left eye is and up toward your hair is where the part should be. Now that you have your part, tightly tuck it behind your ear. The size of the hair that you have parted, that you are tucking behind your ear should be about 2 inches thick, or so. If your hair is very fine, you may need to gently spray a little hair spray to keep that part neat.
-
Step 3
Now brush the rest of your hair into a ponytail just as your normally would. Now take the area behind the part and comb it straight back. There should be no part there. Gently push you hair forward there. Using an elastic rubber band, tie the ponytail. Now lightly spray your hair with hair spray, and you are finished!
