How to Play Naruto Trading Cards
Like any series of trading cards based on an anime TV series, the Naruto cards have a game built around them. The game is based loosely on the TV show, in which you assemble Ninjas into teams and battle the teams assembled by your opponent. You'll need a deck of 40 cards; you can't have more than 25 Ninja cards or more than three of one type in the deck. As with similar games, the key is collecting and assembling the best cards.

1
Shuffle your deck and draw six cards to begin the game. You can replace your hand at the start if you don't like the cards, but you can only draw five this time. Draw one card from your deck at the start of each turn.

2
Play cards in your game board's Village during the Mission Phase of your turn. You can play one Ninja card for a fighter and one Mission card for effects, provided you have played as many turns as that card's "entrance" number. You can also play Client cards for effects, and you can discard a card to the Chakra area behind the deck to build your Chakra.

Assemble up to three played Ninja cards into a team during the turn's Organization Phase, then move that team from the village to the battlefield for the Battle Phase. This is when you attack your opponent, who can block the attack by moving a Ninja team to the battlefield. Build attack power by adding your Head Ninja's attack power and Back Ninjas' support power and playing Jutsu cards.

Win a battle by having the most attack power from your Head Ninja. The losing team's Head Ninja card is turned sideways to show it is injured; both Ninjas are injured if the attack power is even. Defeat a Ninja and remove it from play by winning a battle against an injured one or having an attack power advantage of at least five.

Score a Battle Point after winning a battle by taking the top card from your opponent's deck and placing it in your victory pile. Get a point automatically if the opponent didn't have a team to block the attack--two points if your team has a combined power of at least five. Win the game by getting 10 Battle Points or forcing your opponent to run out of cards.
