I was born and raised in LA and have seen many celebrities out and about in LA. Here are some tips for places to go to maximize your celebrity sightings.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Check out coffee shops (especially Starbucks) in areas near celebrity homes. Most common areas are Beverly Hills, Hollywood, North Hollywood, Bel Air. My friend and I used to hang out at Buzz coffee on Sunset and Laurel Canyon Blvd.

  2. Step 2

If you see paparazzi hanging around, then someone famous is nearby. The paps don't waste their time. Usually they get tip offs about where a celeb is. I was at the Ivy restaurant (113 Robertson Blvd.) and saw a swarm of paps outside. Half an hour later Sharon Stone came out of the restaurant.

  3. Step 3

Check out the clubs on Sunset like the Roxy, Viper Room, etc. My brother is a bouncer at several clubs in Hollywood and he says that celebs show up almost every night. Try to go on a week night. Celebs often go when it is less crowded.

  4. Step 4

Spend the day on Rodeo Drive. Once again look for paparazzi to tip you off.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you are up for driving around, buy a star map. I am not guaranteeing anything, but every star map I have seen is accurate. After all, it worked for Michael Moore in Bowling for Columbine.
  • Other places to check out: Arclight Theater, Amoeba Records, Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles, The Grove, Pinkberry, Sprinkles (Beverly Hills).
  • This article does not guarantee results. These tips have worked for me in the past and should help you target areas of LA to search. Best of luck!
  • Do not harass celebrities! This article does not condone that. Many celebs I have seen I have not gone up to, just noted that I have seen them.
