Step 1

* Ask family and friends for cash. Think about any family members or friends you have that might be in a position to loan you some cash. Many people do not acknowledge obtaining cash from family and friends as a loan and instead write it off as a gift. This seems to help with not putting strain on those close relationships if you are unable to pay it back.
Step 2

* Ask your bank or credit union for a loan whether it be a personal loan, a loan to pay off or consolidate bills, a small business start-up loan, etc.

* Take your aluminum cans that have been piling up to a recycling center. You would be surprised what kind of cash you can obtain when doing this.
Desperate times cause for desperate measures so you may want to consider going out to look for cans to add to your stockpile.

* Give blood/plasma: Contact your local Red Cross to get a list of facilities where you can go to do this. You are given payment the same day and is usually in the form of a cash payment.

* Place something on-line you would like to sell or something you can part with that you know will bring a decent amount of cash. You can find free classified web-sites to place an ad like this.

* A couple times out of each year, your local phone books need to be delivered by those who preferably own a van or truck to haul them in. Look into the dates and how to apply with your local phone company or community referral service.

* If you have jewelry that is perhaps missing a stone or the chain is broke and you can part with it, consider offering it to a gold buyer. The amount being offered for gold right now is much greater than it has been in recent decades. Anything you want to sell, you can check and see how much pawn brokers will pay you for it as a means of quick cash.
