Alaska is one of the most amazing places in the world. Sure you can spend your honeymoon sitting on a beach for a week, but that gets boring after a while. Why not get out there and explore the last great frontier and you'll have a honeymoon that you'll wish will never end

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • a spouse
  • money
  • The Milepost (Alaska Highway Log)
  1. Step 1

Anytime during the summer months is a great time to visit Alaska. So if you're wedding is around that time you are all set. I would recommend going during mid August when the summer tourist crowd has calmed down a bit. You can still enjoy all that Alaska has to offer.

  2. Step 2

The best way to explore Alaska is at your own pace. Forget a tour group or a cruise. Grab a map and rent an RV. Hit the open road with your spouse. Trust me the first time you see a moose on the side of the road you'll be glad you did. There are many options for RV rentals in Alaska just run a Google search.

  3. Step 3

Go bear viewing. This is a must do in Alaska. I don't mean bear viewing at a zoo or refuge. Visit the bears out in the open. I recommend Emerald Air Service for this. Although a little pricey it is a once in a lifetime adventure getting so close to the bears.

  4. Step 4

Rent a double kayak with your loved one and explore the Alaskan waters. You'll never know what you'll come across. From sea otters to fish that jump out of the water, to bald eagles along the coast.

  5. Step 5

Just because you're staying in a RV during your honeymoon doesn't mean you have to rough it. Most RVs are nicer than hotel rooms inside. You have the freedom to pick a nice campsite usually between $10.00-$20.00 a night. Cook a romantic dinner for two. Start a campfire under the stars.
