Step 1

White Vinegar - The best home remedy to loosen head lice eggs.

Behold the powers of white vinegar. This powerful stuff can be used to losen the lice eggs from the strands of hair.

To do this, thoroughly rinse your hair in white vinegar. Now, soak a small towel in white vinegar and rest it over the top of your head for thirty to sixty minutes before proceeding to step 2. It is important that you leave it on the full time! Really soak your hair in this stuff to losen the lice and the head lice eggs.

It is also important to point out, this stuff won't kill anything. It will only loosen the head lice eggs so they can be more easily removed in the next step.
Step 2

Home Remedy for Head Lice

Nit pick! What I mean by this is pick the nits. Nit is the term commonly used for a head lice egg. No matter what natural home remedy for head lice you choose to use, you will have to do this as the first step. It can be rather complicated, so I'll carefully explain what to do one step at a time.

First, you're going to want to allow yourself a good chunk of time to do this. It might take up to an hour if you have enough nits on your scalp. Be sure to do this in good light as well.

Now, you're not going to be able to do this to yourself for obvious reasons so hopefully the person who is going to be doing the nit picking is the one reading from this point on.

Put a towel between the hair and the shoulders of the person suffering from head lice. Seperate the hair into four equally divided sections and pin it in place to make your job easier.

Start with one section at a time. Take your nit comb (which can be purchased from any local store in the health care department. I recommend Nix) and pull the comb all the way through to the end of the section of hair.

If you still see that there are nits on the shaft hair, pull the comb through the section again. Thoroughly use toilet paper to wipe of the comb after each pull and flush it immediately.

Repeat these steps for each of the other 3 sections of hair until you are finished.
Step 3

Everyone loves mayo, except for head lice.

Nuke the head lice with mayonaise! A better word would be to 'suffocate' them, but I prefer using the word nuke.

Anyways! Cover the infested head completely in Mayonaise and place a shower cap over the head. While the cap is on, take a few minutes to blow dry the shower cap with a blow dryer set on maximum heat. This heat will help to kill the lice as they are being suffocated in mayo.

If you're REALLY in a hurry, leave the cap on for thirty minutes, but I personally recommend two hours to make sure you do a thorough job.

Once you are done here, go ahead and rinse your hair out thoroughly and repeat step 2 one more time.

Now you're done! You just permanently cured your head lice problem. Good job.
