Eye-Lifting Serum

Chill the eye-lifting serum in the refrigerator overnight before placing it on the skin. In the morning, take it out of the refrigerator after you put on your makeup. Choose an eye-lifting serum that contains antioxidants and mica, which have light-reflecting properties. Mica also helps minimize the appearance of dark circles and conceals any loose skin around the eye area.

Apply the eye-lifting serum underneath and above the eye, just above the eyebrows. Apply it after you put on your foundation and powder since their ingredients have a tendency to break down the serum.

Use a patting motion as opposed to a rubbing motion when applying the eye serum. A rubbing motion causes skin irritation and stretches the delicate skin around the eye area.

Wait for the serum to take affect. After the serum has time to settle into and lift the skin in this area, apply your highlighter.
Highlighter

Apply the highlighter in the shape of a sideways "V" on the outer corners of the eyes. This is the area slightly above the end of the eyebrow which extends out toward the beginning of the hairline and then goes back underneath the eye.

Place the highlighter slightly above the entire length of the eyebrow of each eye. Pick up a clean blending brush or clean concealer brush.

Blend in the highlighter using a blending brush. The blending brush helps to conceal any lines from the highlighting makeup.
