Womens winter coats are already on the racks just waiting to be bought. Do you need a new winter coat? If you do then get ready to make yourself crazy trying to choose from the enormous selection available. Keep in mind, however, that you're not alone, there are thousands maybe millions of women all over the world doing this very thing.

Must have's

To choose a womens winter coat you first need to sit down and make a list of the must have's. For example, it must have a hood, zipper and buttons, a certain length and so forth. Once you have the must have's down this will make the decision much easier. You can take one look at it and if it doesn't have the must have's then it's a NO.
Step 2

Style

Analyze your wardrobe and choose a womens winter coat based upon your style of clothing. How many times have you seen a woman wearing a coat that clashes with what she is wearing? If you're a professional then this is a big no no. Professional's must look professional and are judged many times by how they dress.

Hair and Makeup

Consider your hair color and make up this is huge. Whatever you do when you go shopping for a womens winter coat, look as good as if you were going out on a date. This will help you determine if it's a Wow coat or one that falls short of what you have your heart set on.

Climate

Consider climate. Only you know if you have cold harsh winters or if they're fairly mild. While we may love to look stylish the reality is we have to be protected from the elements or we freeze. Another way around this is to layer up underneath that gorgeous winter coat.

Take a good friend with you for feedback. Sometimes they see what you don't. Besides, it's more fun than shopping alone any day. Lastly, consider price and try to stay in the budget. That is, unless you see a womens winter coat that is a must have, then the friend can pitch in!
