I love the holidays and one of my favorite things about the holidays is the yummy food. I like turkey but my favorite main course during the holidays had got to be ham. The trick to making a tasty ham is the glaze. A good ham glaze helps seal in the juices and flavor the ham with a sweet compliment to the salty ham. Here is my favorite ham glaze. I hope it becomes a tradition in your home too!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 large can jellied cranberry sauce
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  1. Step 1

    Combine the orange juice, lemon juice and the cranberry sauce in a saucepan on low heat.

  2. Step 2
    Cinnamon, cloves and allspice give the glaze a nice zesty flavor.

    Add ground cloves, allspice, brown sugar and cinnamon to saucepan beating with wire wisk until glaze is smooth.

    Fifteen minutes before the ham is done, score the surface in diamonds and spoon glaze over ham. Continue basting with glaze frequently during the last 15 minutes of baking.
