When looking for toys for your kids be sure they are safe. There are millions of toys out there, and every year there are hundreds of new ones that hit the stores. We as parents, need to be sure they're safe for our children. Each year many children are treated with toys -related injuries in the hospital. This article will teach you how to keep your children safe.

  1. Step 1

    First look for toys, or products that are make in the U.S. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission closely monitors and regulates toys.
    If the toys are imported be sure they were closely monitors and regulates.

  2. Step 2

    Here are some tips, be sure your children toys are age recommended. You will not won't to by a baby small toys parts that will pose choking hazards. You will not won't to buy teens toys that teach them their ABC. So look for toy that will be recommended for your children age. This will help you avoid unsafe toys for small children and buy toys that older children may enjoy.

  3. Step 3
     

    Avoid buying toys with marbles, balls, balloons, small magnets, small lego or any toys that are 1.75 inches or less for children under 3 year old. Buy children 3 and under toys like big cars or things they can't put in their mouths. Keep away all toys that may have lead.

  4. Step 4

    Don't buy toys that are too loud for your children. Some musical or electronic toys are too loud. This may contribute to hearing damage. So be sure they're not too loud.

  5. Step 5

    Be sure your kids toys are not on the recalls lists. last, teach older children to keep their toys away from their younger brothers and sisters. Keep a watch on your children as they play to be sure they are safe.
