Making iced tea is fun and easy. Even older children can make this tea. You just need basic supplies and a stove top. Using green tea bags makes a healthier tea.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 7 decaffeinated green tea bags (or tea bags of your choice
  • small sauce pan with water
  • 1 gallon beverage pitcher
  • wooden spoon
  • additional water
  • sugar or sweetener of your choice
  • ice
  • optional: timer
  1. Step 1

    Place your small sauce pan, with water, onto the stove top burner. Bring the water to a boil.

  2. Step 2

    Once the water comes to a boil, turn the burner off, and remove the pan from the stove. Place it on a hot pad or another unused burner.

  3. Step 3

    Place the 7 tea bags into the hot water, and set a timer for 3-4 minutes.

  4. Step 4

    Dip the tea bags in and out of the hot water a few times. Remove them and discard the tea bags.

  5. Step 5

    Place your sweetener into the empty pitcher, and pour your hot tea liquid into it. Stir until sugar or sweetener is dissolved.

  6. Step 6

    Pour your additional water into the pitcher until it is full. Stir.

  7. Step 7

    Place your pitcher into the refrigerator until it is cold. To serve, pour over ice in a glass.

Tips & Warnings
  • Serve with sliced lemon.
