How to Disolve Kidney Stones

The human body contains two kidneys that regulate electrolyte levels, as well as filter out waste and toxins from the blood, carried out by urine. Kidney stones are crystallized urine, also known as renal calculi. Having kidney stones causes pain through the ureters (the tubes where urine passes), as well as other sections of the urinary tract. It is possible to have these stones dissolved so that they pass through painlessly.

Instructions

    • 1

Drink 3 liters of water every day. Increasing your water intake prevents new stones from forming and dissolves existing kidney stones. This allows your kidneys to produce more urine to help pass your kidney stones painlessly.

    • 2

Consume fruits rich in citrates. Citrate is an acid that can prevent calcium from building up in your kidneys while preventing existing stone from increasing in size. Fruits that contain high amounts of citrates include grapes, tomatoes, bananas and oranges.

    • 3

Drink a lemon juice and olive oil mixture. The high acidity of the lemon juice disintegrates the crystal aggregations, clearing your urethral passages of stones while the olive oil soothes and lubricates your urethral passages. Drink the lemon juice and olive oil mixture once a day before going to bed. Mix olive oil and lemon juice, 2 oz. of each, followed by a glass of water; the stones should pass within 24 hours. The high acidity of lemon juice will disintegrate crystal aggregations while the olive oil will sooth and lubricate urethral passages.

Try apple cider vinegar. The high acidity of apple cider vinegar helps dissolve kidney stones, allowing them to pass painlessly through the urine. Add 6 tbsp. of apple cider vinegar to half a glass of water every day, preferably 30 minutes before eating.

    • 5

Take kava-kava herb in capsule form. This herb is a calcium channel blocker which calms the spasms associated with kidney stones while relaxing the urethra. Take one 120 mg capsule once a day.
